How much would it cost in AUD for a standard holiday for one week in Thailand (not including airfares)?

I dont want to stay any where flash or any where terrible...just middle of the road and I want to travel around Thailand a bit.

i you are going soon, low season, makes a big difference.i will work it out in baht.good room 1000 baht no more breakfast all you can eat dinner all you can eat 120+120baht=240+1000=1240 lunch off food cart=60 baht=1300 baht you are stll under $50 a day that is just basic,do you drink are you going to have a lady are you buying presents for family,a lot of variables.i can go 3 times a year some days spend $5 others i spend a lot.you could do it on $100 au a day better if you can allow $150 you will have no worries

I travel to Thailand as much as possible on a fairly tight budget.

My daily allowance for cheap accommodation, breakfast, dinner couple of beers and a moped to get around on is $30 to $40 aud per day.

That figure does not include train and coach fares, or extra activities along the way.

When you say not too terrible, my accommodation is usually a fan room, sometimes air conditioned.

If you live like a local eg, eat local food, then it can be a very cheap holiday.

If you prefer a little more comfort for your accommodation, then you should add an extra $10 to $15 aud to your budget.

If your only there for seven days I cant see you touring around too much.

Why not spend most of your week in a smaller area, at least you have something to go back for.

Either way you will have a great time, Thailand is a fantastic country with beautiful, friendly people.

Have a great trip.

BULL---- with 1200 you could live like a king for one week, that is more than enough.been to Thailand four times in the last year and never spent that amount in a week and i party hard.

i think aud1200 would be sufficient. that will include food and some shopping too
