Going on holiday to thailand with criminal record...?

Im heading of to thailand this weekend and my qone question is this.

Will I have any problems as I have a criminal record in the uk which I was given over a year ago.

Could this affect my entry at all

I was caught with cannibis and have not re offended of course.?

On the plane you will have to fill in a card for entry to Thailand which gives you 30 days entry. There is NO questions on the card relating to drugs or drug convictions,if other words they do not ask you.You will have no problems entering Thailand.Be warned even though they let you in do not do drugs in Thailand penalties are severe. I made my first trip to Land of Smiles in 69 been back numerous times including 3 visits in the last 12 months,I was a naughty boy, never had a problem.Enjoy your holiday

No, they don't check. If they did, half the guys traveling there wouldn't be allowed in.

Trust me, guys with much worse records than yours spend plenty of time in Thailand.

dont risk it have you heard of thailand prisons thay are the worst

Just do not GO!

Go to the Thailand Embassy in your country and apply for a visa. If they will issue you a visa, then welcome to Thailand. But be a good boy while you are in Thailand. Good luck.

There will be no issue with your entry for a tourist pass as long as you are not on the international dangerous people list.

Not sure that the would know. If you go to the US it would definately be a problem. Hopefully it will be ok

Quite possible, contact the local embassy

A criminal record check is not conducted on tourist entering Thailand. However if you apply for a long stay visa then yes a criminal record check is part of the process to apply for a long stay visa.
