Is there a flight from Sydney which goes to HK, but allows you to stop at Thailand for couple of days?

I wish to go to Thailand for a holiday but also wants to go HK afterwards. But I don't want to buy multiple air tickets to get to different places.

I dont think there is a flight w/c goes that route. Usually CX flies to sydney from HK but doest stop over at Thailand.Try to search if Thai airways travels to sydney with a stop over in bangkok.
