Thailand Holiday with the BF's Family...?

My BF's family are going on a holiday to thailand in January and have asked and begged for me to come...so i asked my mum and she said no immediately saying we're only Gf & Bf...Im 21yrs old...last year she said i could go with my friend overseas for a month once i turned 21...so i confronted her with this and she says to me " do you really think i was going to let you go with your friend".....and that hurt me because she lied to me. Why she being like this for...? is it because she is jealous i spending time with my boyfriends family?

At 21, you are old enough to make up your own mind and make your own decisions. However, it is very difficult if you are living in her house and she is paying your bills.

Who would be paying for the trip? Your mum? If so, then you have a problem. However, if you are paying your own way, or your boyfriend's parents are, then sit down with your mother and tell her how much you want to go. I'd even arrange for your boyfriend's parents to speak to her. She might be afraid of what the two of you might get up to.

The objective of a parent is to enable their offspring to be as indepent as possible, as soon as possible. If your parents don't understand that, thgen they don't really undersatnd very much. Thousands of people have travelled half way round the world by the time they are 21, and they certainly didn't go with their parents.

Your parents are out of line, and you can't change them, so get out, and start your own life.

Pack a bag, leave and just don't go home
