First time traveller?
Try Phuket (for the beaches), Bangkok (for the city life) and Chiang Mai. This will give you a feel of Thailand.

Phuket is a tourist trap. Bangkok a big city. Try Chaing Mi or cities in Northern Thailand if you want to feel like your in Thailand.
